Nice and thick. I place between my pots and pans to protect them from unnecessary scratching. Sometimes I use them on the counter as hot pads!

I had purchased one a few months ago that was a little too big, oversized so I had to return it. But this one is just perfect for my small microwave. It’s an amazing item to add to your kitchen for everyday use. I use it to cover my food in microwave. As a hot plate/pot setting for the counter, and to dry my dishes. Great item to have.
