Close but not the same as the original Berndes spatula

The good news is the construction (aside from the shape of the handle) seems to be consistent with the original. I like the nylon fabrication better than my old plastic spatulas for its flexibility and heat resistance. I cook primarily in cast iron and All-Clad stainless.

If I had never had a Berndes, I would give this spatula 5 stars, but I can't ignore the change in the handle shape. This is an excellent spatula and, if you haven't had the original, you will likely love it.

Great Little Flipper

Works great with over easy eggs. Just what I needed to cook the wife's eggs.

Great little spatula

This spatula fit the bill for what I was looking for: A sturdy, easy to clean tool that won't harm my nonstick pans. Would recommend - good price to quality ratio.

The perfect spatula

My wife got me hooked on this spatula soon after we met. One morning early in our relationship, I was trying to impress her with a spinach & mushroom omelette with fresh rosemary, sage and cheddar. I create delicate layers in my omelette by gently lifting an edge and letting the liquid portions run underneath. Use the wrong spatula and you’ll tear the layer you’re trying to build. Not only did this spatula work perfectly to build 3-4 pillowy layers, but it helped me make the best omelette ever (up to that point in time)... I hadn’t thought about it until now but maybe this spatula helped me find my wife! 😉 it’s that good!
