After using this, you will know why you can't buy the cheaper alternative one. It is very durable and most importantly, it really does hold the sauce a lot. I have used other products which either shed like a dog or the sauce just runs through it. Not this one! Washes very well in the dishwasher as well. Win, win, thumbs up! By the way it is a pretty decent size - got a nice grip for men!

My husband loves this basting brush. He uses it for grilling all the time. I bought the smaller version for the kitchen. Love them both. Easy to clean and because it’s silicone the “hairs”
Don’t come off on the food like the natural fiber basting brushes.

Have a combination of different brushes, wood with natural bristles, and this silicone type. Got rid of a couple brushes that had just the fine-width silicone bristles--didn't hold enough sauce for basting. The wider segments in the center are the secret, and it works well! Good quality construction, so it should last a long time.

This is my third try at a silicone brush, and I finally have a winner. I have both sizes and the smaller is my favorite, but this is great for the grill. It holds on to a light basting sauce and thick BBQ sauce. It comes out of the dishwasher clean and stays flexible.
