Instead of constantly needing to be regulated and watched like most other stovetop steam canners, the All American 915 is equipped with a pressure-regulating weight that rattles to tell you the pressure. When at the set pressure, you will be able to hear your gauge rattle 1-4 times a minute. If the pressure-regulating device is rattling more, then you need to turn the stove down, and vice versa. With not just a visual indicator but also a sound indicator, you will be able to know the pressure while washing the dishes or while reading a book in the other room!
With all these benefits constructed into a canner, there must be some crazy maintenance procedures, right? Guess again...
Cleaning the All American 915 pressure canner is as simple as any of your other pots and pans. Use a little bit of soap and warm water, and you're all done! SOS pads also work well on this specific canner. As far as other maintenance, put a little bit of olive oil around the edge of your lid to make the closing and opening easier. Other than that, you're good to go!
