This was smaller than i expected and I thought it would be the soft silicone to store easy. I still really like it. I have drained several batches of rice. Some rice does strain through but on the whole, this does do the job. I really like it.

I have found several kitchen uses for this strainer. It is solid, well balanced, simple to handle, and easy to clean.

Interesting But Effective Concept

For the most part, this grain strainer does the job it's supposed to. It's an interesting design where you put the grains in the strainer and then tilt the strainer so the water runs out the small holes near the edge of the strainer. I appreciate that this allows me to clean my grains more thoroughly because I can then agitate the grains while they are still submerged in the water -- as opposed to a normal strainer for which the water just runs straight through. However, there are few areas for improvement: (1) The grains don't drain 100% because there's no lip at the end of the strainer area. (2) The design makes it both hard to hold because it's a bit large for small hands and hard to agitate the grains because the bottom is a bit small. But overall, this is an effective product that does what it's intended to do for a decent price.
